Dr. Cyntrica Eaton is a computer scientist with expertise in software development, software testing and curriculum design. She is deeply committed to broadening participation in STEM and helping organizations establish equity-focused policies. Dr. Eaton has extensive experience leading and managing projects that promote STEM access, opportunity, and equity on the national level. Most recently, she expanded her research on equitable Computer Science (CS) practices into the K-12 landscape by exploring how to broaden culturally and linguistically diverse students’ access to CS. Dr. Eaton translates research and the lived experiences of culturally and linguistically diverse K-16 students to remove institutional and structural barriers and promote equitable instructional practices that promote Computational Thinking through coaching, curricular development, and coordination of programs and policies.
